My Nikon S220 is a good camera. It is not, the $7000 digital Professional SLR.
It is simply a very easy to use, very resaonably priced, point & shoot camera. I feel that I received exactly the camera I needed for my application at the price I was willing to pay. I particularly like the simple controls.
Overall - I considered physical size, megapixel rating, functionality, ease of use, and quality of images obtained - and then gave it a 5 Star rating.

Don't forget to purchase a memory card that is compatible with the camera. I tried to use a card from another device and it wasn't compatible. Do the research first for the make and model of the camera and add it into the purchase. Other wise the internal memory only allows for approximately 10 to 12 pics.

I'll admit it, I got this camera because it was cheap and pretty. As far as looks go, I'm pretty smitten with it. The lcd is large and crisp, the controls are incredibly user friendly, and it takes wonderful point and shoot pictures. There are a million settings you can use from fireworks to food, but they're mostly kind of useless and don't look much different from the auto function. The photos are generally crisp and accurate, though I've experienced some bizarre color casts. I spent some time in a blacksmith shop, and all the rust came out bright yellow instead of rust-colored, which is not something easy to fix in photoshop. Also, I spend a lot of time with the macro lens, which I've been underwhelmed with. The focus is fairly far away- a good 6 inches, and even from there it's usually blurry by the time I crop it. Otherwise, though, I've been happy with contrast and color vibrancy. It really does do a good job for the price.

So all in all, I'd say it's a very appropriate camera for the non-professional without a lot of money. I hate to admit that I fall into the group of consumers that buy something because it looks pretty, but if that's one of your requirements-go for it. This thing is adorable.

Easy to use & even easier to stick in your pocket! I was looking for convenience, something to slip in any sized pocket to capture unexpected moments, not to produce award winnning photos so I'm quite satisfied. It's tiny, but has a good zoom and takes quality photos. Good value for the money.

I bought this camera even though the other customer reviews did not inspire a lot of confidence. So far I am happy with the camera, even though I have only downloaded one picture from the camera. The camera is super small and easy to transport in a purse. I am pretty happy with it and it is very easy to use. If you have enough money, then get a better camera. But if you don't, and I did not have a lot of money, this camera will work just fine.

I love the color and style of this camera. I had no problem figuring out how to use it and how to change the settings. However, its auto mode for pictures is terrible. Most of the indoor pictures I took on auto were grainy. I was able to fix this by manually lowering the ISO, but the camera should be able to do this on its own. One picture I took I couldn't get the proper color quality---without the flash is was too yellow and with the flash it was white and washed out. I ended up using the picture with the flash and adjusting the color quality on my computer to get the photo to look alright. The outdoor photos I took all turned out fine except for when I had manually lowered the ISO and forgot to change it back.

I got this camera to replace my lost (stolen) Canon SD1200, and the Canon is much better. This Nikon can take as good of pictures as the Canon, but you're going to have to play around with the settings first.

Very easy to use . Good quality pictures ! Reasonable price . Bonus- Rechargeble batteries !

The Coolpix camera is the bomb! I snap photos everywhere and everyway. It is great and green!

This is a great camera. I bought one about a year ago and it was stolen. So I had to get it again! Its about the same size as the average cell phone. So it can easily be put in your pocket or in a small purse. Great images, easy to use. Theres a crop option when you review them. Couldnt be happier!!!

I'm impressed with the photo quality. Granted the camera was bought for it's color (My Wife's Camera) but the quality and ease of use make it a great find. I would recommend. It has a little weight to is to it doesn't feel or look like some of those cheap cameras.
